Holy Oil Elixir

Holy Oil is a combination of Frankincense, Myrrh, Sandalwood, Cedarwood, Marjoram, Cypress, and Clary Sage with Frankincense and Myrrh resin tears.

Frankincense and Myrrh have been used for thousands of years for medicinal and spiritual purposes. The reason that the resins are called Frankincense or Myrrh "tears" is because the ancients believed the sap that poured from these trees were tears or sweat of the Gods. Burned in ancient temples, for rituals, and as offerings to deities of all kinds, these two essences are some of the most spiritually potent aromas ~ and that is why this blend is called Holy Oil. Myrrh vibrates with the earth and our body, grounding and healing us on a more physical level, while Frankincense opens our third eye and crown. I believe the reason these two aromas are so often used together is because of the power and healing that is available to us when we connect body and spirit. Sandalwood and Cedarwood ground us even deeper (as all wood oils do). Cypress was celebrated as a symbol of everlasting life. Marjoram is a warming tonic for the mind and body, and helps decongest the breath. Both Marjoram and Cypress are cephalics and bring clarity to the mind. These oils together create a pure channel from the core of the earth up through the body, into the mind and spirit.

Frankincense and Myrrh (the main oils in the blend) are what I call "all healing" essences because in addition to their powerful metaphysical nature, they each have an incredibly healing effect on the body - treating the brain, gut, joints, muscles, skin and more. They are both vulnerary oils which means they help to heal wounds. They stimulate the immune system, are powerful pain killers, and serve as an all-over body tonic. 

Anointing tip:
Apply oil to the third eye/and or base of the spine. can also be applied to the reflexology point of the bottom of the big toe for even more potent mental clarity and presence. apply also to the wrists and bring the hands to a prayer position in front of the face, with the wrists right around your nose. Inhale. Then open your hands palms face up in front of you and say a prayer if you wish!
