What we'll do....

read LOTS of ecstatic poetry from the greats such as Mirabai, Rumi, Hafez, Rabia, St. John of the Cross, Teresa of Avila, Thomas Aquinas, and more
-
reflect and discuss in an open hearted and curious space together

laugh and cry!

pray and meditate together
-
write our own ecstatic poetry (and share, if you want!)

study and bask in the beautiful teachings of sufism and the wisdom of the mystical traditions

explore concepts like the 99 names of Allah, and expand our imagination of God

learn practices such as chanting (that you can continue far beyond our time together)

The logistics....

we will meet for 9 Sundays in a row at 12pm EST for 1-2 hours
-
each session will consist of a presentation on a certain topic, open discussion, and a guided meditation to give you an embodied experience of what we're learning

all sessions will be recorded and uploaded to the class portal for you to revisit

all other material and slides will be uploaded each week for you to return to
-
you will be able to talk to the group, and to me privately, in the portal between sessions
